Travel back to Scotland throught the eyes of Hattie O'Dell as she journey's through her ups and downs in Edwardian times. Hattie carries a heavy burden. Pregnant and unwed, she holds another secret she swears never to reveal. The story weaves a tangled web with many twists and turns by exploring the shame and prejudices unwed mothers and their children suffered. Will Hattie tell all with the help of her faith, or will her secrets remain buried in the past. Inspiration for the debut historical fiction WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS came from the author's late Mother, Grandmother, and Great Aunt.
